  I don\'t know who thought giving a kid a set of Nunchuckus was a good idea. There\'s also Leonardos Sword and Donatellos Staff. From my experiance I feel that children and weapons don\'t mix well. There\'s also the fun slides Carpet skates. Now you can slide your way right down the stairs!
  
  There should also be a warning for us Noodads on lego. I used to work in a day care and you haven\'t really experianced pain until you\'ve kneeled on one of those little colourful pieces of agony.

  Back in the days toys are very useful and some might educate your child while playing. Nowadays all we see in some kids are gadgets and ipods. Not only that the danger comes into manufacturing the toys as well, china uses some chemicals or additives that can potentially be deadly.

  Hooo, back when my brother & I were kids, we had truly hazardous stuff like Erector Sets and Lionel trains - made out of actual metal!
  
  I really hate that we've numbed down the childhood experience out of so much hand-wringing fear. Breaks my heart that the playground has become so risk-averse and sanitized - I miss the merry-go-round. I wrote a little about this Risky Business a coupla years back. It's even more meaningful now that I'm a Dad.
