  Thanks for posting that.
  I always take the kiddie up the escalator because in our mall (Our Idiot stupid mall) there is ONE elevator that is about the size of a closet and FOUR escalators.
  So I\'d have to walk all the way onto the other side of the mall, wait in line, and PRAY that my stroller fits into the elevator along with the two teenagers making out in the corner.
  But taking the elevator would be worth it so my little darlin\' isn\'t missing any body parts when she gets older.

  If you are too dumb and uncoordinated to manage taking a stroller down an escalator you shouldn\'t have kids. I do it all the time, and its a cinch.
  
  Nothing to do with being lazy, just to do with being superior. Its survival of the fittest, and if you can\'t handle taking a stroller down an escalator you shouldn\'t be allowed to drive, drunk or sober.

  Guilty as charged. The wife busts my chops for this all the time! Now you too Noodad.com!?!? This is, like not driving with our arm out the window, one of those things that just seems so unnecessarily over-cautious...like the risks are being overblown by our hyper-litigation-happy culture. BUT it makes sense and we can take all the risks with ourselves we want (like using power tools without saftey goggles) – but we shouldn’t take them with our kids. As men and as dads, we\'re bound to view taking the elevator up one level as excruciatingly inefficient...but Noodad makes good points so we just need to get over it. Elevators suck...worst part - why do they always smell so stale? Shouldn’t the constantly opening doors vent out the smell of old people and farts?
