I\'m not sure how new this product is, but I first heard of it about two months ago--which put my kid (now 18 mos) out of the window of time in which to use it. I know some people who have this and they swear by it. Even though the Bumbo may quickly outlive its usefulness in your house, it sounds like the durability, practicality, and its reputation would make it easy to recoup some of the cost on ebay or craigslist.

Nice review ReviewDad. Looking forward to more.

I got this seat when my son was about 3 months old, this thing has been a life saver. The best use I have for it is as a make shift highchair for when we visit friends and family. Who wants to cart around a huge high chair or even one of those strap to the table models. My sister and her husband employed the \"daddy as a highchair\" solution for a while before daddy got sick of wearing babyfood. Its so easy to just stick my 8 month old in this on the top grandmas kitchen table (supervised of course) to feed him his meal of bananas.

Ths thing is worth every penny. I couldnt get half the stuff I need to do done without it!
only complaint- I wish they made one in my size, cause it looks comfy!

For EXTRA use, they make Bumbo seats that come with a tray attachment...so now it\'s a booster seat!
Extra months added on to that kinda high price!

Just be sure to strap the kid in the Bumbo and the Bumbo to the chair.

My son almost died from a head injury by falling out of the Bumbo, I was within elbow reach of him. We loved it until then. Must be used on the floor only! Do not leave child to \"go take a wizz\".

Please tell me this is a sicked and twisted joke and that you did not leave your kid on a table in a Bumbo.

Kevin, first off, glad to hear your son is ok. Any type of injury associated with a kid, especially your own is really scary.

That aside, seriously man! What are you thinking not putting a bumbo on the floor?!

I am not the only ignorant person to use a bumbo on a raised surface. I was right there with my son, right there! The only thing sick and twisted are my nightmares. The website shows the bumbo being used all over the place and it seemed functional and safe.

    Kevin,

I apologize and I hope your son is OK now. When I was a kid, my brother fell down the back steps in his walker because one of us left the kitchen door open. It\'s scary stuff. Thanks for being a kid safety advocate.
