The idea of "My Robotic Friend" is not that bad, well as we all know many people had come up to the stage wherein they are so in love with teddy bears and other stuff toys but that would only take for a short time, I think its features that have 2 cartridges packed with stories, songs, and dialogue will be very useful for your kids language proficiency
