Luckily a quick thinking man on the escalator behind her scooped up her daughter before it got to her toes.
The front end of the Croc was all black and mangled!
I have a 15 month old daughter and if she gets Crocs at all, she won't be wearing them anywhere near an escalator.

Re: noodad » Crocs Can Bite! Anyway, you working men know what I'm talking about. My dad was at the mall once and got his stuck in the escalator & it ripped it right off his foot. Crocs aren't any different than any other shoe with loose parts as the post above states...it's a good safety reminder nonetheless since just about every kid (and adult) in America now has a pair.

Re: noodad » Crocs Can Bite! But...they said it's no different than other soft shoes.

Maybe it's just that crocs are so much more visible.

Although. I do make the kids jump off the escalator at the top/bottom.

Re: noodad » Crocs Can Bite! I think I just involuntarily kicked myself after seeing that picture. I hope my friends would shoot me, if I ever went in public with orange peels on my feet.

Re: noodad » Crocs Can Bite! I think that crocs are very comfortable to wear them at home, but we never take them for work or to go shopping.
